Returning...

Well hey! I'm back. It's 11:06 as of now and I should be doing my calc homework.
But meh. I think I have some time.

SO. Life is good. It's March. And the coolest thing about March is that it's in the second semester of high school. That one semester that doesn't quite matter as much. OR DOES IT?

According to the CHS Agenda, Honors, High Honors, and Highest Honors are considered based on the student's academic performance in his or her first seven semesters of high school. This is what makes people give less of a shit about that last one. But one of the main reasons I was so enthused about entering the second semester was that it didn't count for Valedictorian. But now I'm hearing different things. Some counselors seem pretty sure of themselves, while others I think are just being intentionally ambiguous.

So does the last semester really count for Valedictorian? Here's why it shouldn't:
1. WE'RE TIRED OF SCHOOL. GIVE US A BREAK.
2. Teachers would have to work faster. HEY HEY HURRY UP WITH THOSE SECOND SEMESTER GRADES AND FINISH THEM UP BEFORE GRADUATION SO WE CAN SEE IF THEY GOT A B. Really?
3. The office would have to work faster. Let me explain. Consider this: If Valedictorians can drop their GPAs, why can't other people raise them? If one can LOSE valedictorian, why can't someone else GAIN Highest honors, or high honors etc? See, it first appears to be a small amount of work for several students, but the truth is that these rules can't just apply to certain people. If the 8th semester is counted for all seniors, many students have the potential to raise their GPAs, but that's not the case, now is it? Rules have to apply to everyone. And I'm saying all this assuming that Valedictorians can drop, meaning changes have been made. But rules are rules. The agenda says honors count the first seven semesters. Same must apply to those in the running for Valedictorian. It's like getting crap treatment for being good. If anything we deserve a freakin' senior ditch month.

This was just some stuff that came up recently. Nothing that big or important. There aren't any overly terrible school policies running amok. Or are there?

Is there something I should discuss?

EDIT: Okay so the reason honors is the first 7 semesters is that it's a district award. Valedictorian is a school award, so they're going to go ahead and count all 8 semesters.

oh wait. BULLSHIT! "It's always been that way" REALLY? or was it since we have like 11 valedictorians in the running? then again, why the FUCK should that matter? just because more people are academically successful, you're going to try and knock people off just to save time in the graduation ceremony? WHAT THE HELL. IF IT'S ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS, HOW COULD TWO PERFECTLY GOOD COUNSELORS HAVE BEEN SO POORLY INFORMED? and NOW you tell me. when it's a month into the second semester when everything's supposed to be smoothe sailing. tell me to work to protect my ego. i don't need to protect my ego. my ego isn't going to break because someone said you're not valedictorian anymore. but. i'm very angry simply because nothing was ever clear to any of us.
GOOD JOB COMMUNICATING, ADMIN! YOU'RE GOOD WITH TEACHERS AAAND STUDENTS!
I'D BE HAPPY TO WRITE THAT SHIT ON A COMMENT CARD
