Stress, Perspectives, and Priorities

No, not for me. But damn, almost everyone around me is breaking down. Every other day I'll see someone crying about something related to grades, test scores, or college. Sure, Middleton may have been a little too aggressive, but I agree with her.
I get it; college apps are really important. But really, why kill yourself over it? You're not dying. And if you say you ARE dying because of college apps, you are pathetic. You think you have it hard sitting in a warm home in front of your computer because you can't make your essay perfect. Chill the fuck out.
I'm not one to say that I've had hard times or trying situations in my life. Simply because those moments have been rare in my life thus far. (Which makes me scared that I won't be able to deal with them when they come later on) BUT. You're not starving every day. You have the luxury of choosing what you want to eat, so it's clear that this is not a life and death situation. If this is just college, what's going to happen to you when it's time to apply for grad school? Or a job?
Next: Don't make a big deal out of everything. Don't think I'm targeting anyone on this, because I'm not. I've found that people who stress about little things have a harder time dealing with shit that really IS stressful. It's only logical, isn't it? Get your priorities straight. See what really is important and deal with that first. I'm tired of seeing people around me killing themselves over crap about school. It's your senior year. Get your work done, and play.
More rants to come

Yea dude, I totally agree with people overstressing over SAT scores and college applications, but you know it's one of the most important things of our lives right now, and the pressure to be smart and stand above the rest is so great that it becomes overwhelming to people at times and your emotions get the best of you. I really don't think people cry on purpose to envoke sympathy from their peers and if they do thats gay. I understand you're trying to get them to see the bigger picture: Senior year, live it up, but The 2008 part of Senior year is a bitch, but the 2009 will be rocking. Nick, I'm sure you'll see a lot less crying after 2008 and people get their rejection letter. Haha just wanted to comment. No one has commented. I AM FIRST!
